  • Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd & Ors v Raub Australian Gold Mining Sdn Bhd – This dispute before the Federal Court of Malaysia concerning the application of the law of reportage and the notion of responsible journalism with specific regard to the manner in which it is to be properly pleaded and applied by online publications under Malaysian law. This is the first time that this issue is being properly ventilated before the Federal Court of Malaysia (led by Tan Sri’ Dato’ Cecil Abraham and Dato’ Sunil Abraham).
  • Tan Bun Teet & Ors v Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad & 30 Ors – This is a dispute before the High Court wherein the applicants are asserting that the conduct of the Atomic Energy Licensing Board and/or Government of Malaysia in the licence renewal process and ultimate decision to impose new licence renewal conditions is in breach of the Federal Constitution and/or the Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984 (led by Tan Sri Dato’ Cecil Abraham and Dato’ Sunil Abraham).
  • ISM Sdn Bhd v Queensway Nominees (Asing) Sdn Bhd & Others – This is an appeal before the Court of Appeal involving a series of complex corporate transactions involving the holding of shares in multiple companies wherein allegations of oppression, breach of a shareholders’ agreement and the law relating just and equitable treatment of a shareholder are being ventilated (led by Tan Sri Dato’ Cecil Abraham and Dato’ Sunil Abraham).
